The Haberdashers’ Company
The Haberdashers’ Company is one of the Great Twelve Livery Companies and has a long history connected to the development of the City of London. Today, the Company is in the privileged position, thanks to benefactors both past and present, to continue with its educational and other charitable activities. This supports the Company purpose to “empower young people from every background to fulfil their potential through our schools and by supporting their communities”.
Haberdashers' Academy Trust South
We are a multi-academy trust consisting of four secondary and five primary schools within South London. Our schools are dedicated to serving their communities, by providing our children and young people the best education we can, to equip them for their adult lives and as contributors to the society in which they live.
Habs Aspire: Part of Haberdashers' Advantage.
As proud members of the Haberdashers’ family, our schools benefit from a unique blend of state and independent education. This powerful network opens doors to life-changing opportunities, creating connections and experiences that inspire ambition and prepare our learners for tomorrow's world. Our pupils have a world of opportunities at their fingertips through our unique character curriculum: The Haberdashers' Advantage.

As part of The Haberdashers' Advantage, the 'Habs Aspire' programme envisions a future where every Year 12 Sixth Form young person, regardless of background, is connected with professional mentors who inspire and support their growth. Through these meaningful relationships, students will develop diverse skills, achieve excellence, and make informed, confident choices about their future paths.
Our mentoring takes the equivalent of one days screen time - 4 hours of your time across the year (from January - August). You could be mentoring a young person within any of our family of Haberdashers' schools, see more about our family of schools below.

The Haberdashers’ family of schools is structured in four devolved groups – Haberdashers' Academy Trust South, Haberdashers' West Midlands Academy Trust, Haberdashers' Elstree Schools and Haberdashers' Monmouth Schools.
We are proud to include schools of all types and sizes within our family of schools – from a brand new state academy, like Haberdashers’ Borough Academy opened in 2019, to a centuries old independent boarding school, like Haberdashers’ Monmouth founded in 1614.
The relationship with Haberdashers supports the schools in three ways: through endowment funding, through the provision of governors and trustees from the Company membership and through the Haberdashers' Advantage programme.

Former Head Boy Haberdashers’ Hatcham College, Aspire Mentor
Having a mentor has been vital in navigating university life and starting my career. Given the help I have received from the Company and my school over the years, this is a great opportunity to repay that debt. Knowing that I may be able to help a young adult who could’ve been in a similar position I would’ve been when growing up, is a great prospect for me.

Together we can create a powerful and wide-ranging network of mentees and mentors. This is an important part of our Haberdashers Advantage programme and a priority for us. We know the importance of mentoring for young people so that they can be guided in their next steps.

Former student Haberdashers' Elstree Girls, Aspire Mentor
As someone who has had a mentor throughout my working life, I know the importance of having someone there, who can offer objective guidance and support. And I’m particularly delighted to be doing this via the Haberdashers’ company. As a proud alumni of the school in Elstree, I couldn’t think of a better way to pay it forward.

Former student Haberdashers' Monmouth, Aspire Mentor
The Aspire programme is a brilliant initiative that I’m honoured to be part of. Having been in the shoes of a sixth-former not too long ago, I know just how beneficial a mentor can be in today’s world when starting to navigate that daunting path beyond school.
